Fixed floors such as tile, stone and wood – available in many different style and finishes, are possible. So- to are what we call floating floors. Examples of these are LVT/ vinyl and laminates which are generally fitted around the cabinetry to allow for expansion and contraction. As with our fixed floors, these come in many styles and finishes.
When it comes to lighting, most kitchen spaces combine a mix of ambient, task and accent lighting. Ambient is your general lighting whilst task lighting is for working / preparing food and will include under cabinet and over-island strips and spotlights. Accent lighting is more for decorative purposes and might include pendant lights over a breakfast bar or display lighting within a glazed cupboard.
However, regardless of the terminology used, part of any kitchen design brief is to combine function and form in equal measure. So, regardless of what lighting is required we will ensure if does its job whilst looking fabulous.
